    Going Behind the Headlines

Every once in a while we have a television moment on The Opening Bell that is priceless. Today we had one of those moments courtesy of my colleague Shibani Joshi.

Every day on The Opening Bell, we do something called "Behind the Headlines" where I assign papers to my colleagues and ask them to find a story behind the headlines that no one has seen or found. It's usually an edgy, off the charts story and in Ashley Webster's case involves animals. It's a long story :) !! Moving right along.......today Shibani took the top prize and caused all of us to cry from our fits of laughter.

i think the united states should take all oil off the market and keep it here in the usa,set a price at 75.00 a barrel, not buy any oil from any other countries until the price drops,,,, and quit selling our oil to other countries,,i think the truckers should have more media coverage,,

Shibani, that was great! Alexis the look on your face, I'm still laughing. I believe this would be a classic to keep in the vault. We Americans need a little humor and I want to thank you Shibani, that was great. Cannot wait to see what's on Monday.

I love this type of humor. Well done. Those that protest the loudest are out cruising gas stations.

I love Shibani. She's hot. Next time why ask Rebecca GOGO Gomez to host your show and see what happens? Kidding. Honestly if I was one of your guest with a panel of analysit from Wallstreet, various private sectors like the movies or oil,I would point out how rural areas are hurting and why some are moving in to be closer to thier jobs etc. But say the movies which I like,I would talk about how closing cinemas which don't make newspaper headlines have affected the movies. Did know that ticket prices are going up at your local multiplex? FYI for u. Missed u this morning:)

Lousy article but I hope the Glick family has a nice break on the holiday ! StephenLee's off his rocker - nationalism is gone - globalism is in. Look at the eeeeenternet - Bretton Woods currencies are slowly being re-valued and re-evaluated. Petro had it's 1 century run, petro is horrid on the kids lungs. Last I checked, it's HUMANITY - ONE GENOME - after that ? hey - you can divide it up if you waaaaaant with nationalism - a highly fragmented model - not me. to quote Office Space "I'm a people person dam it "

Okay Okay maybe I'm being to harsh here. I just thought the article was in bad taste. I DO expect more from ya's ! I think you're an alright person though Alexis Glick ! Not sure on that Cavuto guy ! jk he's a decent person too- just manipulative with guests I think, could be me. this article did blow oats though. NOW, that's not to say when people go to the pumps - they're not getting the same service as either party in the story by the gas companies ! Perhaps Exxon should just go back into business with the service stations, put a condom stand at the pumps and say - sorry, it's the best we could do, now pay - we just closed another refinery - so we can make more money by selling less !

Who knows - Larry Craig greased ANWR through congress maybe he would have taken a gas card too.

To be fair The United States has prostituted itself for oil as well According to Alan Greenspan But hey - he was JUST the chairman of the Federal Reserve, what would HE know Odd, there is Secretary of treasury Paul O'Neil saying the same thing but - again, what would HE know... that the US was prostituted for oil this story is about the wrong girl ! Do a funny one on America and the sellout of the US military for oil ! oh COURSE - president bush was a moral person to exercise shock and awe- 'wanted dead or alive' good ole authentic christian values- of COURSE it was about saving the Iraqi people who FLED - over 1 million refugees to Syria after the likes of Blackwater etc showed them a welcome - 28 million orig. in Iraq - nothing near that now. People who have left Iraq- the ones I've seen - say they'll never go back. Guardsman where "I" live ? weren't sent to protect the museum - they were sent to protect the oil fields... That is, the ones who CAME back. I'm sure the girl at Happy Hour who can't manage her MP3's from itunes- and isn't quite sure just what a web site is has more serious problems than any of these people returning wondering - what were they there for ? but - hey - life's rough - Syria stopped taking refugees - they simply can't handle any more - these are Iraqi citizen's FLEEING... Must be one great place now. Now that it's cleared out - and the psychological mine field has been placed by the US - yeah, Exxon, BP, Shell / and what's this mmmm... Hunt oil story ... hmmm I guess we'll see when this admin doesn't hand over all it's communications between the state department and Hunt eh ? Either way - this woman who was prostituting herself - I don't find anyone choosing to use their body this way funny - all in all - it was about money, because the price of gas is tied to the dollar ! lol Also, I think you folks got the wrong prostitute. Hmm... Alan Greenspan's WORD that Iraq was about oil or.... Paul O'neil's WORD that Iraq was about oil or hmmm... Justice for the Iraqi people who FLEED their own country after the warm and friendly blackwater Dept. of State contractors showed up in their barney scarves and donald duck sunglasses ? I think I'll take Alan and Paul's word, they've never faultered on integrity. Bush's character can be eroded in 15 minutes on youtube with segments of his life that will leave you shaking your HEAD that Karl Rove is THAT good at election rigging.

This article was disgusting. 'he just filled her up' ? decadence 'no way you can 'TOP' that ?' This is high school potty humor. Was this woman prostitute named America by any chance ?

shibani is the best. Great moment leading into the fourth. Nice to see that whatever the news, lately mostly bad, that a sense of humor is a great asset to have. We will survive high oil prices and the sub-prime mess because we are still the best nation in the world and still the best place to raise afamily. Have agreat fourth!
