A Glorious Night for Politics

Last night was a glorious night for politics. Senator John McCain delivered his best speech to date using the word “change,” the cornerstone of Senator Barack Obama’s campaign, 33 times. McCain was fierce, talking about Obama’s lack of experience and discretion to be a wartime commander in chief. Senator Barack Obama, in the most anticipated speech of his political career, was eloquent, ... read more

Getting Up Close With Glenn

Are you a fan of “Fatal Attraction” or “Dangerous Liaisons?” Seen the FX show “Damages” or “The Shield?” This morning we ran an interview that I recently did with Glenn Close while in New Orleans. I have not written about it on the blog as I waited for the interview to run but now that the cats out of the bag I can speak freely. First of all, she is stunning—and so beautiful ... read more

Sex and the 'Recession'

Sex and the City hits the mark!!!! The movie, which got mediocre reviews at best, shocked everyone this weekend by beating Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Frankly, I'm not sure if I am that surprised!!! I live directly across from a movie theater that was showing Sex and the City. The streets were mobbed!! Women were out and dressed up. It was one of the biggest New York ... read more

Fried Over Prices

Summer is here! What a beautiful weekend. This weekend, my husband, boys and I went upstate to visit my mom. She has a house in Rhinebeck, New York. It's a little town on the Hudson River. We've been going there for years. Still feels like a throw back. My grandparents used to own a place in Chichester, New York, just north of Woodstock. As a kid we (my thirteen cousins) spent every summer out ... read more
