David Cook!!!!!

OH MY GOD….COOK WON!!!!! I’m FREAKING out!!!! A friend emailed me in the middle of the night to ask what I thought about Cook? All of a sudden my heart starting beating really fast. I fell asleep at 9:30pm last night. Couldn’t keep my eyes open. Went back to the Tivo this morning and COOK WON!!!!! I am so psyched. He was my FAVORITE all year.
Think about it: 97.5 million votes. Did you see that show? Seal, Bryan Adams, Donna Summer, Jonas Brothers, ZZ Top, the guy from Crosby, Stills and Nash, George Michael (major flash back…..loved those songs growing up). How about Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, and Ben Stiller with Gladys??? I thought the performances were fantastic. American Idol did a brilliant job with the finale!!! Brilliant. Hats off to them after everybody talking about declining ratings. Yes, the Wednesday night shows have to be fixed but this contest is AWESOME. Call me a nerd….I LOVE IT!
Worst part, though, I go back to watch on my Tivo at 4am and see the last half hour. My Tivo went exactly two hours right to where Ryan says “and the winner is David Cook!” That’s it! I only see David lift his head. Dying to see how he reacted? I’d be crying my eyes out! I told you guys yesterday Simon was wrong about a knockout! Yeah!!!!!
Can’t wait to buy his album. Believe me, both guys won and they were the best finalists in American Idol history. Can’t wait for next year!!!!! Six months…..what am I going to do :)!

David Cook was my favorite too. He will be much more marketable. His reaction was one of humble gratitude as he showed several other times on the show. The last song of the night that you missed was the contest song and perfect for Cook. The whole show was surprisingly good. and did you see the Guitar Hero commercial with Cook? I was surprised by Paula’s behavior during Carrie Underwood’s performence.

Last night’s American Idol was fantastic…it was a HUGE party…one excellent performance after the other…celebrities galore….and then to top it off with David Cook winning…couldn’t have been a better night! I was truly waiting for the big let down of the other David (Archeletta) taking the win. But no…My favorite from the beginning David Cook took the win by a landslide!!!! Both my husband and I were on the phone the night before voting until our redial fell off.
Simon, you clever man…you knew that if you told America that David Cook was winning they wouldn’t vote…instead the fact that you slammed him provoked the fans into mass voting! You clever man!
I will be blogging about this later on today…won’t waste your space here. Alexis thanks for the excitement…I share it with you. Congrats to David Cook…an excellent story…now living the American Idol dream.

in all the years I’ve seen American Idol never a vote was posted from me. until the finals this year. David A was good if all I wanted to hear was ballads. I automically knew what type song he was going to sing. David Cook was completely different. You never knew what was coming.
David Cook was the entire package. when as the song goes “Girls just want to have fun” David Cook can rock the house down. but can deliver heart-felt ballad as well. As I said, I have never voted for any contestant before, but David Cook touched something inside me that made me call and vote until was no longer able. needless to say I was estatic when the winner was anounced.

I was so pleasantly surprised to hear the David Cook was crowned this year’s American Idol. While I also felt that David Archuleta deserved the title, I really wanted a rocker to win. Everyone, Simon included, thought that David Archuleta would be more marketable, but we all remember how WRONG Simon was in season 2.
I have only two words for David Cook: Chris Daughtry!!!!

Go to You Tube.. they have a nine-minute video posted showing the entire ending. I had to do the same thing when my DVR recorded exactly what your Tivo did. It was a great ending!

Worst than that even, my local cable DVR (Tivo equivalent) recorded until Ryan said, “And the winner is…” and then cut off.

The only people that found any talent in the two Davids were woman. Why do you think the producers matched them up. You can’t even think “votes” had anything to do with it.
Neither of them have true talent, they have talent, it just appears abundent because they are being compared to their peers. Put them against true talent and you’ll see.
I will agree the show was good…but buy the album?

I was SHOCKED When David Cook won! For some reason I figured the Golden Boy David A would win..I was pulling for them both.Both will probaby have Great Careers. David A is young..He has plenty of time!
This was the first American Idol I watched all the way through.It was pretty good!

There was no question for the last 6 weeks who was the most talented, and someone who could actually become a star… someone who could actually produce an album that people would buy. David A had a good voice for a chipmunk… Cook was clearly superior and a much more likely candidate for future success. How many ballads can you possibly listen to before you go to sleep… that is what David A is destined for…JMHO
