The Sticky Oil Situation
By Alexis Glick
Concerned about oil and natural gas supply in the U.S.? Think Congress isn’t doing enough? Upset that we are not tapping into our own resources and drilling?
John Walker, chairman and CEO of EV Energy Partners, a natural gas, oil exploration and production company, is upset about all of the above and he wants results. He feels we are the only country in the world not drilling for our own resources and he’s not happy about it. He says we have 100 years of natural gas supply left in this country and billions of barrels of crude in reserves.
Take a look. He’s a man on a mission and he wants some answers and some SOLUTIONS!

It is well past the time for this. The people have been hurt enough.
The anti supply leaders in power will never change. We who want more fuel
will have no one to tell the truth.

The left wing loonatics of algore (he doesn’t deserve capital letters) dont want to drill for our own oil. He doesn’t care about the economy. He’d rather starve people to death and have more abortions to make our population smaller. I know that if B. Hussein Obama (or Ms. Clinton) gets to be president, they wont do anything about it. They’ll just make government much much bigger, and there will be many terrorist attacks on our nation and we will all be bowing to allah with a moshetti at our necks!!
The libs are very dangerous people and are waiting to make our country a living hell!!

Thank You!!! Finally someone is standing up for what needs to be done. Energy independence, even if it means drilling for oil & gas, is a national security issue as well as an economic issue, but the idiot Democrats don’t understand that & the cowardly Republicans won’t fight them.

Vicksburg Ms real problem with regular gas are monopolies. The anctient narrow minds that ran this town for so long have block any form of comptetion. Becouse the local mom and pops want to keep prices at high. And now with the lack of competition in this small marketplace the locals are paying price becouse a few in this town want to make money and the free market be damn. Now the Waring Family and others have been part of the problem here and not the solution. All they have done is exploit the locals to get wealthy. The mantra motto for Vicksburg Ms is this: if you want to make money go to Vicksburg.
Now with gas at 3.73 tourism is dropping. Even the casino revenues here have dropped to thier lowest since 2006. Now Kroger did a bold thing: they went before the city council and demanded that they have thier gas tanks put in for thier gas service center. But the Waring clan which has been a dominant, selfish force here, have been quiet. But the locals are fed up with high gas prices. Especially with the fact when in Clinton and other areas around metro Jackson are cheaper; now get this Waring Oil serves those markets and serves those across the river as well. When locals went to Tallauh,La for cheaper gas over two years ago the regular price jacked up. But Waring Oil has serviced gas stations in the metro Jackson area, they also have outlets in Jackson,Ms and Gulfport Ms. But around the state gas prices are much cheaper than Vicksburg ms. And in varied parts of the state Vicksburg isn’t so well liked but it gets laugh at alot.

Here’s some more about Waring Oil LLC. Beside being in the gas business they make money by taxing those who do businesses with them. Mostly restraunts that need cooking oil and such and the charge is usually 40.00. THere isn’t no clear competition for businesses here. There isn’t no choices here whatsoever. Still real hard business issue questions should be raised about Waring Oil and what are they afraid of? What are they really afraid of? Well they haven’t made public thier profits. Since Vicksburg has a pipleine here too offload oil from barges which is much cheaper; how much has the Warings made off this all these years?

I am sick of hearing your analyst telling me I am using too much gasoline and need to conserve, that I need to carpool or use mass transit. These are the same people that don’t own a car and if they do they are not carpooling either. Pretty tough to carpool when you leave for work at 4:30 AM isn’t it? These people telling me I use too much fuel, when they want more streetlights so they feel safer. I cannot even see the stars in the small town of Greensburg, PA because of all the lights burning all night long at the empty malls, factories and stores. Maybe the insurance companies requiring all these lights in order to insure these businesses should be paying fuel surcharges.
How many lights burn in empty offices at FOX each day? How many lights are burning empty offices all day and night around the country? I was brought to turn the lights off when I left a room because my parents were brought-up during the depression. I never saw my grandparents step over a penny on the street.
Everyday I drive past dozens of parents sitting at school bus stops with their engines idling either picking up or dropping off their children for school. Many drive their children to and from school each day because they don’t want them to ride the school bus. Most of these people are sitting there in SUVs too. Personally I think all these people should be fined for this behavior. Walk with your children to and from school or the bus stop.
These analysts have no clue what is going on in rural America. First there is no mass transit out here. Most of the manufacturing facilities in this country have been built in the middle of nowhere because they were given massive tax breaks and free land by our lawmakers.
These analysts of yours are the same people throwing away three Starbucks coffee cups a day and three plastic water bottles a day. The people working in rural America use a device called a thermos bottle because it is cheaper and reusable.
How much of the billions of barrels of oil are being consumed each day consumed by the Federal Government, such as Congress, the Military, etc. I cannot even imagine how much fuel has been and will be consumed by the Presidential Candidates in this election year. I they were truly interested in conservation they would have sat in front of a camera and made their points.
Do you want to save millions upon millions of barrels of oil everyday immediately, raise the legal driving age to twenty-one. This will pull millions of cars off the road, not only saving fuel but the trickle down savings to our highways and emissions will also be enormous.
Another big savings that could be accomplished immediately is bringing back the “Blue Laws”.
For those unfamiliar with the “Blue Laws” you just close everything but essential services on Sundays. Families could actually spend sometime with each other and maybe even eat together.
Not one these candidates cares about conserving fuel, they just want me to save fuel so they can use more. Like Al Gore flying around the world in a private jet telling us that Global Warming is being caused by carbon based fuels!
My mother always said, make sure your own doorstep was clean before complaining about your neighbors doorstep.

We need a balance. The environmentalists are against everything!Conservation will help and so will alternate fuels. But we need solutions now! Nobody seems to be listening.
